GlobalSpin Trade Conclave 2022 - Chennai.

The development of Startups and MSMEs in any sector takes place by generating revenues through their operations and the Fashion/ Textile segment is no exception. With the same in mind as part of the development of the Market Access Program, 4th GLOBALSPIN Trade Conclave was organized in Chennai on Promotion of Handlooms, Handicrafts and Technical Textiles leading to Market Development and focusing on FinTech, Blockchain, AI, IoT, 3D Printing, and AR/ VR at Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park on 21st – 22nd September 2022.

The World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) and IAMKHAADII FOUNDATION (IAMKHADI) has organized this conclave. NIFT Foundation for Design Innovation (NFDI), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India was a Co-Organizer for the conclave.

GlobalSpin Round Trade Conclave

India’s 1st ‘GlobalSpin Round Table Conclave’ on Innovative Financing (Debt/ Equity/ CSR/ Grant) for Startups/ MSMEs in the Fashion, Textile, and Apparel Sector (focusing Technical/ Smart Textiles with key elements of Textiles, Electronics, and IT/Software) was organized at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi on Monday, 25th of July 2022 by IAMKHAADII Foundation in association with NFDI and WASME.

Day 1 of the GlobalSpin Trade Conclave (https://globalspin.net) was held from March 21-22, 2022 in Bengaluru and was jointly organized by National Institute For Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME) and IAMKHAADDI FOUNDATION (IAMKHADI) and co-organized by NIFT Foundation for Design & Innovation and supported by World Trade Center (WTC), Shamshabad and Vishakapatnam in which Zimbabwe partnered along with other African countries with the focus of bringing technology and textiles fashion together in a single platform.

The event was inaugurated on the 1st Day by Hon’ble Chief Guest Mr. N . Nagaraju, Hon’ble Minister for Municipal Administration small scale industries and Public sector Industries, Government of Karnataka who spoke about Karnataka being the Hub of Textiles especially Mysore Silk.

#UNLOCKHANDLOOM: To Celebrate NATIONAL HANDLOOM WEEK and Commemorate 75 years of Independence of Progressive India – AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV.

The project was created with the prime objective to establish a unified platform to create and identify livelihood opportunities for Entrepreneurs or Startups. It acts as an entrepreneurship enabler by bringing together entrepreneurs, youths, training providers, financial support systems, technology providers, and market linkages and enterprises that work with micro-entrepreneurs.

The project team has experience in developing business opportunities for Entrepreneurs or Startups in various sectors including in handlooms. This project will also focus on supporting Entrepreneurs or Startups starting their entrepreneurial journey in the handloom sector in the registered National Capital Region (NCR).

Considering that Fashion is a 2.1 Trillion Industry, we need to be alarmed! While it is starting to turn up the dial on its environmental efforts – many brands and retailers are making significant progress in reducing their negative impacts – there is still a long way to go. Positive change is urgently needed and now is the time to work together to find solutions to the fashion industry’s environmental and social impact. AADI MAHOTSAV- National Tribal Festival

National Tribal Festival is being held at INA Dilli Heart in New Delhi and inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah Ji. The mega event of 15-days was held from 16- 30 November 2019. “Celebration of the Spirit of Tribal Crafts, Culture and Commerce” will be the theme of the fortnight-long Tribal Festival which represents the basic ethos of tribal life. Weaving Peace, a showcase on sustainable weaves and handmade fabrics by renowned international designer Archana Kochhar representing India and Tara Bhuyan (Toronto), Meagan Ollari (New York), Mantasha Ahmed (Dhaka), on Friday, 10th October 2019 the evening of the celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

WORLD WEAVER’S FORUM 2019

The first WORLD WEAVER’S FORUM on Saturday, 20th April 2019 at Hotel Park Plaza, Ludhiana has organized by IAMKHADI and FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), Ludhiana in collaboration with central silk board (CSB) and TRIFED (m/o tribal affairs) and khadi and village industries commission (KVIC). The prime aspiration is to develop a product and design ecosystem of national and international producers, artisans, retailers, fashion designers and technical experts to work combine to form unique fresh product ideas for Indian and global consumers. The possibilities of interstate fusions of various art forms on handloom and Khadi and cross country fusions of art forms were explored by the global forum. Shri. R.R.Okhandiar(IFS CEO and Member Secretary) and Central Silk Board (Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India) & Smt. Anju Modi, Founding Member, FDCI inaugurated an event.
